Kind of a pop punk tune about wanting more than what we've got.

Story behind the song
This is my final project for my first semester of songwriting at Grant MacEwan. I played all the instruments. The recording process was definitely interesting and I think I finally discovered the secret to recording good sounding music.
Lyrics
There's a motion in the ocean And it's pulling me back into the wall A little feeling from the ceiling And it's telling me I'm about to fall But I just ignore the warning signs Heed no thought to direction We will write our own book even when [chorus] The brush strokes failed As the penned notes wailed And they all just seemed to get lost in the gradient In our lives, they say We can make a change But we just can't seem to get ourselves together again. There's a schism in the rhythm And it's reaching down into my soul A demolition premonition and I'm letting go of all the old And I can't decide to run or fight Heed no thought to direction We will sing it didn't matter that [chorus] If the sidewalks are so comforting, And if silence makes great company, Then why does everybody sing Of the moon and stars and sky? [chorus]x2
