However in this particular instance the song that you are about to hear is not necessarily about the artist/performer, though he David Mikal of Orlando Florida did a fine job with performing the song. This story is more about the women that wrote this song and several others. Coast three music BMI is proud to present the story about the writer, Ruth Westgate, was an orphan until age seven. She was adopted but lived a "Cinderella Life Style" until I married. She and her husband of forty-seven years (he passed) had five children. Ruth now has ten grandchildren and at last count eight great-grand children. She is seventy-seven years young.! Ruth taught school for preschoolers (3,4,5year olds) and music to the first through the ninth graders. They did musicals for Christmas, Easter and the end of year programs. She worked as a Sunbeam Director for her church and became a Sunbeam Associational Director for the Tampa Bay Baptist Association. She had eighty-one churches to work with at that time, including Puerto Rico. Ruth played bells with the church and led the seventh grade choir. She has been involved in church work all of her married life. In 2002 she was in a very serious car accident. While recovering thoughts of that accident came to her mind one night. That was the start of her writing gospel songs. We are planning to rerelease this song "walk with me" performed by David Mikal. This song "walk with me" will be sent to radio stations in the United States and overseas. Plans are also being discussed for publishing and release of a book written by Ruth Westgate.
