Here is the recipe for basement lo-fi sloprock: Collect vinyl and odd musical instruments, play keyboards and percussion, occasionally even howl, and put it all in the computer via a soundcard with chunky 1/4" inputs, and slice, dice, stretch and such until the delicately extruded rubber-turdlike sound emerges synthetically through the tiny holes in the speaker grates.
