Often we forget the fact that we can make change in our lives, try something different, move or simply do nothing at all.

Independent Songwriter/Composer.
I am a prior live musician and BMI writer who has now moved solely to becoming a songwriter and studio contributing musician. I'm a marginal singer who spends more time working with others on material and the production of music. I do not do this for a living, it's fun. If you're a singer looking for material in Rock or Country music, I could be your guy.

Story behind the song
Seems everyone has a military or war related tune these days, captilizing on a terrible situation. As a prior solidier I often thought that we may have missed the point in what we're all truly fighting for. I have a close friend who decided to make a significant career change late in life. He seemed concerned about how it would be perceived by others. He complained about being trapped in a position without the ability to create his own destiny (also a prior soldier). He described how great it would be to have a free mind. He eventually became a truck driver and was free to make the change. Why, because we can make our own destiny because we're allowed to. We fought for the right and my buddy took advantage of the privledge. The song isn't a military tune at all, it's recognition that we make our own destiny.
