Story behind the song
I have a problem that I never see that I'm being taken advantage of until after the fact. This song is more or less kicking myself to try and fix that.
Lyrics
Hey, how was your day? I'd just like you to know I've been thinking about you So I'd like to know If there's anything at all that you want to talk about? There must be something Anything at all will do Yes, I must confess It's getting hard enough just to keep up my spirits when You act like you do Like the words I say somehow aren't as valid as yours I'm beginning to think that You don't care about me yeah I'm starting to think that You don't care at all I'd be surprised If you'd even notice if I stopped nodding and saying okay And I'd be surprised If you'd even bother listening to this song, the words that I sing I'd sever my arm if you asked for a hand I'd hold you all night if you're too tired to stand But still this relationship's not what I planned I need some appreciation Not just a word I need to know that you still see me for me And love me for me And not just 'cause I always listen We can make a change But I won't let you bury me.
