Little rockabilly number about life in a more hedonistic time, when anything you caught could be cured. Ahhh yes, I remember it well! ;-) Absolutely awful recording!!!

Tom "Ketchfish" Inglis-Songwriter*Singer*Musician Current project - The KetchFish Band - See them live in various venues along the Southern Maine Seacoast! Check them out here on SoundClick! After playing the bars, nightclubs, Legion halls, weddings and anyplace else I could make fifty bucks since the 80's, I decided it was time to dust off the originals I'd written over the years, write some more and get that part of my musical career going. The music you'll find here is written, performed and recorded by myself. Some of the recordings are a little rough but the songs are there. Hope you enjoy 'em!

Story behind the song
Thinkin' back on my time in Missouri living in, oh yeah really, a trailer park. Trailer park life in the 80's was kinda fun. Lots of loose women willing to make a man smile 100 different ways. Well now this one young woman that lived in my trailor for a while totalled my '75 Trans Am while drunk, messed around (not that I wasn't too), and eventually I had to call her brother and dad to come get her because she tried to stab me with a toothbrush when I told her it was time for her to leave.
Lyrics
Breakfast in Bed Thomas Inglis Well I want you to know before you put me down I always knew you was runnin’ the town I never loved you just addicted I guess Now I won’t be around to clean up your mess You thought you played me for a fool But I used you like a tool And now I won’t be there to give you Breakfast in Bed When I was out workin’ to bring home the bed You had someone else up in my bed We had our fun let me show you the door Life is too short to spend with a whore You thought you played me for a fool But I used you like a tool And now I won’t be there to give you Breakfast in Bed Eggs and bacon toast and home fries Served up sweet with a side of your lies Well I did your cousin and your best friend too Cheatin’ ain’t something exclusive to you You thought you played me for a fool But I used you like a tool And now I won’t be there to give you Breakfast in Bed You thought you played me for a fool But I used you like a tool And now I won’t be there to give you Breakfast in Bed
