Story behind the song
Forever Autumn...
The new song I've added is a cover of Forever Autumn from Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds; his musical version of the H G Wells classic.
I've loved the album since childhood and have for a while wanted to do a cover of the entire album.
At first, I did a cover of this song just to test out amp sounds on my Pod XT Pro, but I got right into it and ended up doing practically the whole song (minus a few repeated parts and motifs, which wouldn't work without the narration to break it up).
I sent the song to Greg Pope (soundclick.com/gregpope) who, just by luck, also loved the album and this track. So I was lucky enough to get him to put his vocals on it, and he did a truly first rate job of it!
The end result is what's here now; a metal version of this (once) beautiful song!
This is not my song, just mine and Greg's version of it. Neither of us are claiming to have written it, and we both consider it a sort of tribute to a song and album we both love and respect. If anyone has any problems with us sharing this track, please contact me and I'll remove it.

Man, i have been searching for your version of this song for a LONG TIME! I heard it once after listening to Jeff Wayne, on youtube, suddenly, the video with this soundtrack was gone. I REALLY love this version of it. Downloaded, rated 5/5/5 !
