Hello from Six Feet Over, an all original three man band from the North Carolina highlands. As a three piece band we work and play hard without many of the luxuries of larger bands. Although sometimes we show up with as many as five members the core of the band is guitar, bass, and drums.

Based on memories of my younger (and more dangerous) days of riding backroads, drinking, and other youthfull adventures.

IT'S A RIDE Heading out on the backroads in a beat up old Chevrolet Never caring that it looked like hell cause it got me there anyway. It had a hole in the front seat and a great big dent in the door. Four in the floor, a fifth under the seat, I couldn't ask for too much more. It's A Ride--- hey hey It's A Ride I turned out on the hardtop when I saw her standing there, Long blond hair and tight blue jeans, she had her thumb stuck up in the air. 'Fore I could take my foot from the gas pedal to the break, She was jumped in the seat beside me and snuggled up for goodness sake! It's A Ride--- she said It's A Ride She handed me a twenty dollar bill and said "Take me in to town, I know where there's a party going on, and everybody's getting down." I gave her back that twenty dollars and she gave me quite a thrill, It was there on the seat of my car that I learned how love could feel. It's a Ride--- she took me for a ride! Now if you ride on them backroads in som beat up old Chevrolet, Don't you worry if it looks like hell, if it gets you there anyway. And if you see somebody out by the road with their thumb stuck up in the air, Swallow your pride and just give 'em a ride, cause you never know how much they'll care...
