Lyrics
The Old Town Road This town remembers a time They all stood in the union line But now is a time When the fighting’s all done alone This town remembers a time When a community would stand in line But now is a time When a person’s got to stand-alone Now the wind blows ghosts up the old town road Past peeling paint and long lost saints No cruising cars or vibrant bars Tearing up the old town road The old town road The old town road This town remembers a time When you couldn’t score a better life And no mans wildest dreams Would see it as a long lost highway This town remembers a time Of the steel mill assembly line But the furnace heat was destined to meet With a cool cruel heart
