progressive pop jazz blues country christian contemporary melody celtic orchestral bible sax musette
Many genres, Contemporary Christian, Lyrics, instrumentals
I write my own songs ;) I have a very diverse taste in music, from Pop to Classical, including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Country, World Music (Celtic, Romanian), Old Timey Stringband/Bluegrass, and Latin. All these styles are in my Christian Contemporary catagory. I usually write the music first, and then put words to the music. Though I don't sing good enough yet, I though I would put my instrumentals out along with my music. Generally, I think my music/lyrics are getting better, being more skilled now than when I started.

Story behind the song
I got inspiration in the chorus from Brahm's Lullaby. The song definately took a turn for the better when I put a musette as the lead. The Country boogie along with the accordian/musette gives a Cajun/Zydeco feel to the song.
Lyrics
Born Again (berceuse) I have found a new road Yes, I'm through with old ways Now, I have a new heart (The) Spirit's in this jar of clay I have taken a new direction, (A) mid-course correction in me (The) Word says I'm a new man He's blessed me with plan 'B' Jesus gave me (a) new name I'll not be the same again Now, I have a new life With a godly drive within I have entered a new covenant (A) new testament with hope The Lord has new mercies Water for the thirsty soul Chorus: Born again, born again, I've a new Dad above Born again, born again, I've been born out of love Born again, born again, I depend on Him only Born again, born again, I will never be lonely He takes pleasure, I'm a treasured one, In His tender arms Some day we'll sing new songs Right up where we belong there Soon we'll age like new wine That's what the true vine bears There's no waiting for new government (The) new commandment is love Finally, there'll be new things: (A) city from the King above (chorus) (solo - fiddle, accordian, or band) Laissez les bon temps Rouler! (chorus) (optional verse 4) Life renews ev'ry morn Like a dear new born babe All things have their seasons All things let the reasons wait One day there'll be a new creation A liberation from sin Now, the patches are torn Till the world is born again (alt. ending for verse 1) I have taken a new direction, (A) mid-course correction in pride (The) Word says I'm a new man The old has gone and died David Davis copyright 2007 http://postadavisongs.50webs.com/BornAgain.html
