Thank you so much to everyone who's downloaded our songs and visited our page. A few of you may know that we've changed the band's name to "TEARDROP" and that we're currently busy finishing up on recording our debut album. Because of this we have removed the option to download most of the songs (which were just demos anyway) from this site. Story behind the song
To most people “Prayer Of The Underdog” is just a song. But to the few who know the struggles that spawned this actual prayer, it’s something much more. It was January of 2000 when a struggling band, put everything on the line to achieve something they thought they truly deserved, something they sweat, blood and tears for. The band entered a highly publicized mainstream radio contest which promised the winners a record deal with a major label. The band won despite being the loudest and least radio friendly of the bunch. But unlike most stories, things didn’t go uphill from there. The record company, upon meeting with the band, realized that the band just refused to sell out. In the end the record company put the band on the shelf for eternity, in spite of using the publicity generated by the contest and the band for their benefit. So here you have a song, that will forever be just a song to the rest of the world. That is until it’s forgotten along with the band that once played it and the stories they had to tell. - saki
