Howdy ~ES~,
The opening with the 12 string....tells the tale, that this is a "goodurn" and it is for a fact, but that's obvious with the name Electric Shadow attached!!!! Insightful lyrics, mighty fine pickin', gracious melody for the subject matter, fine vocals that project the mood & emotion.... a combination that can't be beat!!!!!!! I guess we'll all come to this position in life someday, presuming we endure to that age. Your song projects the sadness for having endured such a life, days gone by, months & years... people, places, until one finds that usefullness, and even memories are "put on the shelf". This sad day happens for thousands, perhaps millions everyday and your song is a excellent reminder... it keeps it personal, keeps it relative, but also points out that it will come closer & closer to home~! Life is too short as it is without being discarded just because age makes us old fashioned, outdated, or lacking previous physical & mental prowess. Hopefully, we can still

Wonderful work. Very touching, beautiful job. About 5 years ago, in my father's final days (he lived to be 85) he told me that life flys by in the blink of an eye. That it just seemed like yesterday he was a teen, and it was just incredible to have gotten so old so quickly. To not sweat the little things, and to always view love and being loved as the crowning lifetime achievements. And to REALLY open your eyes and heart, for the special life-defining moments are all around us throughout our lives. Such a wise man, really missed. Great tune, thanks. :)

I had a feeling I would like this one. This would bea good song for My Dad but he doesn't really listen to music. He is 70 now. I would love to see some producer take you into a studio with a professional engineer and see waht you could crank out. I hope you get that kind of support one day.
