Story behind the song
Megan Williams is an African American woman who was recently raped and tortured for several days by six Caucasian individuals. Yet, as news media villainizes Michael Vick, OJ Simpson, and Isaiah Thomas, the six individuals responsible for this heinous crime have barely been mentioned. The Jena 6 situation another neglected issue, as the entirety of the situation has yet to be widely recognized by the news media. This was also the case when one compares the treatment of 9/11 to the treatment of 8/29, which was the date of Hurricane Katrina's landfall. All we seek is objective, unbiased news that covers relevant material for all, and places sensationalism on the backburner.
