Backbreakaz Entertainment- is a company that’s all about “Knowledge and Skills,” backed by artist, producers, and executives that “breaks their backs” to produce the finest quality of music on a “modest” level. Therefore, we have the “knowledge” to lead aspiring artists, and the “skills” to manifest a product that reflects our “dedication to “innovation;” a product that definitely will appeal to the masses. We feel that the “pioneers of the Houston-market” (industry-wise), has “overlooked” the “less-fortunate emcees” and other “said-minorities” in the “game.” These individuals have been “shunned” and put on the “back-burner” by members of our “main-stream-music-society” (i.e. radio stations, club-owners, ect.) effectively “silencing their voices.” Backbreakaz Entertainment believes that the aforementioned individuals had, and still have a right to be heard. In 2005, we gave birth to “WBKZ RADIO,” an old-concept that has become our current “franchise;” created as an avenue for those affiliated to exercise “our desire and right to be heard.” In an attempt to march a step ahead of the “typical” music company, we want to encourage our artists, entertainers, and models to be “knowledgeable” at every stage in their respective careers. We want to provide the foundations that allows them to make “sound-decisions,” and actively participate and be cognizant of all operations including (but not limited to) production, distribution, financing, and negotiations. We don’t condone the idea of artists being “slaves to record labels,” and want to thereby “break the cycle” of bad “Label/Artist relations.” We strive to be the “industry-equivalent” of the slogan: “Family Owned and Operated”
