A track from the new Something Special CD. One of my standard romper-stompers. As you know I do like to d**k around with rhythms and that is how this track started, although not is all as it appears....

Hi Steve, Very nice funk groove ya got goin on there. Love the percussion and rhythm instruments.....very solid. The 1:50 mark is slammin...nice ideas -:)...and the snare at the 2:48 area sounds just super...great tone...cool syncopations. The vocal ( do the funk ace) however...was a little heavy in the mix for me (personally)... and kinda distracted me from the main ideas when it entered. A bit lower in the mix...just a bit underneath would have set better...but actually...the tune really doesn't need the vocal. This of course... is just my very humble opinion. It's a super piece of work either way -:) Recording is major c-l-e-a-n and the overall mix is right where my ears like it. Very impressive. Everything flows really smooOOooth. Sounds like you had fun creating it. I enjoyed the listen -:) Kindest regards, Ron S (MyndsEye)
