Insecurities of a girl, how it came about, and what she needs to hear.
Story behind the song
During my study in SP, I happen to have this female friend who had tremendous personal issues. So she was super sensitive and super unstable (emotionally). I don't know what or why but we ended up together. Platonically. (Don't ask.. we just weren't each others' type)
Initially, I couldn't stand her. She was like a thorn in my flesh. A very big and long thorn... if you get my drift. But, as the days, and months go by, I begin to see a different side of her. I became more understanding of her family background and problems she faces at home. Slowly, something changed within me. I found that the more I understood her, the more I found how much I am in need too. The more she opened up to me, the more I find myself articulating and expressing my insecurities with ease.
At the end of our 3 year course, we went our own ways. However, I discovered a creature. So deep, so real, wonderful and amazing, than so many "beautiful" girls out there. I discovered beauty.
So, this song is kinda like a conclusion to everything with her.
