the Jena 6 situation is just a clear example of Americas regression backwards towards slavery. As usual , the law has been enforced against the African Americans while the whites remain untouched by the law when they initiated the situation that led to the trial of 6 high school students facing 20-80 years in prison for a school fight. The DA held a speech in the high school in the town of Jena and threatened the few black students attending that he could have their life taken away with the stroke of a pen. This story gained nearly no national atention and it is as if it has never happened.
