Story behind the song
I worked with a lady who was getting ready to quit her job due to her being unhappy with how upper management was treating her....Anyway she was being really vocal about her unhappiness......and someone else in the office said "Amy"(not her real name) "don't burn bridges".....and that scenario got the wheels turning in my head to carry that thought to the extreme. The actual song has nothing to do with her situation.... but that's where the idea came from....Greg
Lyrics
Another cleaned out closet Another cold, empty bed Another "Why did I do that to her?" running through my head. Another time... the words "I'm sorry"..won't be enough to bring her back. You could say I've burned another bridge , but I think you'd have to go a little further than that...... I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell You can still see smoke and flames ...from another train I've derailed It's a dirty job breaking hearts but I've learned to do it well I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell I wish I'd spent more time building dreams And a little less on demolition There's things I regret, things I wish I could take back, Things I've done....too sorry to mention. Even if it was in flames, I'd cross the Golden Gate...if it could take me back to loves that I've lost But what do you do when you reach that crossing...to find there's nothing left but rubble and dust.... I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell You can still see smoke and flames ...from another train I've derailed It's a dirty job breaking hearts but I've learned to do it well I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell..... Oh here I go again Lighting the same fuse that will bring this all to another end.... I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell You can still see smoke and flames ...from another train I've derailed It's a dirty job breaking hearts but I've learned to do it well I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell I don't burn bridges.......I blow em all to hell

Back for yet another listen. 1st verse/chorus is just so cool. Guitar work and vocal delivery right on time...
