Story behind the song
Vijay had written this poem called "Sweet Misery". We decided to make into a song. About the actual story behind the song u will have to ask Vijay. I never bothered to find out. Work started around the 1st week of June 2002. Completed it by the end of the same month. Myself and Videep must have spent atleast a couple of weeks working on the layout and recording. Decided on the Tune - recorded The Drums - then the guitars - did the keys and piano, bass and finally the vocals
Lyrics
Sweet Misery - Words: by Vijay Raghavan -------------------------------------- I dont need no dope to take me high, I dont need no wings to make me fly I would gladly die a million times For just that one look in your eye. Sweet misery was your laughter Sweet misery, the pain thereafter Sweet misery was that (one) stolen kiss The moment standing in eternal bliss Sweet misery was the waiting Sweet misery was the singing Sweet misery was not knowing (That) the sun was out and it has stopped raining I never even knew the reason why Thinkin bout u makes me wanna cry I was lying when I said that I would try But deep down I could never say goodbye I know I have no one left to blame When I found that someone had killed our flame Will it ever be more than just a game? Misery no longer felt the same. Sweet misery was the waiting Sweet misery was the singing Sweet misery was not knowing (That) the sun was out and it has stopped raining (Bridge: by KC) Baby when u said maybe i thought we'd never be apart. Life was (so) simple but now i am drownin in matters of the heart. I'm just pawn in this game called love, that i can't control but ur still the queen of my dreams, my ecstacy, my misery,yeah...
