Story behind the song
Colin Mansfield engineered and produced a 4 track recording for us in 1981 which as far as I know was the first cassette-only release in the Twin Cities. We recorded in Dave's basement with the control room upstairs. Colin was the guitarist from a pioneerng Twin Cities new wave band, Fine Art. Fine Art also used Dave's lyrics for several songs they played and recorded. Colin also produced Husker Du's first demo about a year earlier.
