A Line Dance Song About Line Dances
Artist picture
Brian Dolph is the type of singer/songwriter who takes his business very seriously and knows that success takes a lot of hard work. His songs delve into the human emotions and desires we all share. Brian’s low-key style has been compared to the likes of Don Williams and the laid back troubadours who write and sing songs about the working man and everyday life. His lyrics and easy delivery convey to the listener - true feelings from the heart. While performing at various songwriting venues Brian was convinced that his calling in life was that of a singer/songwriter. Consumed by his energies to go further, he fulfilled his dream by recording several tracks with well-known Nashville producer Gary Buck and award winning engineer Les Ladd (Capitol Records Nashville). In 1999 Brian began to see his hard work and persistence pay off by having his songs released on the highly acclaimed Hillcrest label. In the fall of 1999, Brian found his first release “You Got That Right” (produced by Les Ladd) on the European & Canadian charts. Since that time Brian has released 9 more singles on the Hillcrest label and all have charted throughout Europe. Brian has since recorded several songs with Ken Greer (Tom Cochrane Red Ryder, Road Hammers) and has been working closely with a Nashville song plugger. A number of his songs are currently being considered by well known Canadian and Nashville artists. In February of 2008 HE DIED FOR LOVE, a song he co-wrote with Larry Tilander was released to Canadian radio by Winnipeg new comer Rod Stordy. Recently he has also worked with a number of local artists producing songs for them. And at long last Brian is back in the studio recording his latest full length album. The album is being recorded in Nashville with some of the best studio musicians in the business. Be listening to your radios for a new single from Brian fall 2008..... Story behind the song
We thought this would be the easiest song in the world to write.......re-wrote it seven times and changed it once more while at Reflections Studios in Nashville.
Lyrics
She’s gonna Two Step into my heart Texas Waltz on into my life She’s like a ballerina Under the neon lights While I was watchin’ her Tush Push You know what I mean She asked me to Slap Leather It was a cowboys dream Well I never thought I’d ever Dance with a woman like that Its one step, two step dip They’re Dancin’ Round My Cowboy Hat She taught me to Achy Breaky To do The Boot Scootin’ Boogie too We were doin’ the Wild Wild West When she showed me something new We twirled around the dance floor Doing a West Coast Swing Then we tried The Electric Slide Fred and Ginger in blue jeans Well I never thought I’d ever Dance with a woman like that Its one step, two step dip They’re Dancin’ Round My Cowboy Hat Well I never thought I’d ever Dance with a woman like that Its one step, two step dip They’re Dancin’ Round My Cowboy Hat Well I never thought I’d ever Dance with a woman like that Its one step, two step dip They’re Dancin’ Round My Cowboy Hat
