Singer/songwriter, Indie self-recorded: Wm Perry writes & performs tight, well-crafted songs. Honest & not boring, sometimes disturbing, with jangled-y edges. T
"I approach the writing of songs as if it's the only tool I have, with which to do something I don't understand." BIOGRAPHY: Failed. Kept moving. Your typical starving artist story. BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, followed by several years in the Sign Industry. Front man in a multitude of short-lived bands, playing in clubs and warehouses in Chicago and LA's artsy, marginal war-zone neighborhoods. Now solo artist, self-recording. Bought a cheap, old house on Craig's List (without seeing it first!) and moved from Chicago to Cincinnati, an "economic refugee" you could say. Now completing renovations that make four floors of combined living/studio space and working on new music.

Lyrics
Pretend It's Possible – William McGuffey Perry Yeah, that’s a thought that always comes too late Man, I wish I’d thought of that before Well we’re here already and no time left to wait (and no time left to wait) And I got too big to fit back through the door I clear a space and an hour to shine my cube (shine my cube, shiny cube, shiny cube) I got the instructions and tools right to hand It slips out of my fingers and down the tube And I’m never gonna find out where it lands And it’s possible or impossible (do you think it could) Depending (it doesn’t look too good) With a turned up collar and a hat upon my head Oh I’m still freezin’ and I’m not even out of bed Well it don’t bode well for the next general alert And if I’m still here to be found I’m gonna get hurt I go casual through the family room (don’t look now, don’t look now) Head are nowhere, hands at my side loose (never seen a thing) Like I don’t know nothing about the shadows or the moon (you don’t know a thing about me) Or what’s gonna happen if I really have to choose (don’t look now, no don’t look) And it’s possible or impossible (do you think it could) Depending (it doesn’t look too good) Yeah, that’s a thought that always comes too late Man, I wish I’d thought of that before Well we’re here already and there’s no time left to wait (no time left to wait) Then I got too big to fit back through the door (too late, too late, too big)
