Primarily a songwriter, but I like to sing my own demos when the song fits .

Beautiful Life
© Chuck Delchamps 2007
It’s a beautiful morning, the sun is rising through the mist
We’re all here with Momma, to hold her hand and give her one last kiss
Prayers have been sent, tears have been shed
Still she smiles as wide as Tennessee
As she hurries on her way
And she’s laughing with her grandpa, bouncing on his knee
And she’s listening to her momma with her lullaby to sing
And she’s running through the fields, where she pretends to fly
She’s running through her beautiful life
The sun is in the sky now, and we know it won’t be long
Somebody sings Amazing Grace, always Momma’s favorite song
Sitting by her side, I cry another tear
‘Cause she’s not here!
She’s standing with her husband, high upon solid ground
And she’s, watching her children on their, merry-go-rounds
And the wheat fields and the wind, promise she can fly
She’s running through her beautiful life
She’s walking in her garden,
As the sun is setting low
Evening rays reflecting off her, bedroom window
Where inside she lays her silver head down
And takes an angels hand
It’s a beautiful morning, the sun is rising through the mist
Her Father is waiting, with open arms and a kiss
And she’s running through the fields, where she’ll learn to fly
She’s running through her beautiful life.
Oh she’s running through her beautiful life.
