Lyrics
On The Wrong Side Of The Gate. It's too quiet -- I can hear the lies, too cold -- now I feel no pain Too empty - there is nothing here, nothing left of you, I'm alone again. It's only - a whisper from the end, merely..... a shadow from my fears With only the night to call my friend, as icy rain masks my falling tears Did you have to move outside the wall, did you mean to wipe us off the slate. Leave me standing, too afraid to call. Right here…On the wrong side of the gate. And what is the point of despair When there's no one there? No one there. On another day - he offered you a ride, another cold day - I saw u snug inside Sat beside you - his fingers laced with yours, you left me, I locked the stable doors. Did you have to move outside the wall, did you mean to wipe us off the slate, Leave me standing, too afraid to call Right here… On the wrong side of the gate. And what is the point of despair When there's no one there? No one there. There’s only - a whisper till we die, only.... a shadow from my death. And I'll go there to find the answer why, when there’s only my bitterdrops left. Did you have to move outside the wall, did you mean to wipe us off the slate Leave me standing, too afraid to call Right here… On the wrong side of the gate. Copyright. Dawn Sinclair.
