“Mayday, mayday, Baby…” Dark and edgy, powerful pop-rock track with a modern Euro edge, starting with a guitar riff of S.O.S., trancey keyboards and loops, strong vocals building up to a power chorus. Sounds like a mix of Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl

Hello, Lovies, and welcome! I'm a nutty musician who somehow got herself known in the European metal scene, even though I'm not really a super-mega-metal-diva girl. But that's not a secret. Not one I'm keeping, anyway! You might know me from the various work I've done with other bands, but you may be surprised at what else I have to offer and I invite you to look around, have a listen and let me know what you think! OK, now on to the more serious, official stuff. Enjoy! xx Amanda Singer-songwriter with a razorblade edge. Lyrics
Setting sail, I’m homeward bound Full of metaphors and rhymes Thought I’d find some refuge on your shores Didn’t think that you would mind You treat me like I’m a patient Leave me to my own demise Cast me out into an eastern wind Throw me to the raging tides I’ve crashed and burned, I guess I’ll have to swim (No signal on the radio) I bail it out, but water’s pouring in (And I’m yelling in the microphone) Mayday, mayday: this ship is gonna sink Baby, baby: now, why you gotta be So crazy, crazy: won’t someone answer me? Mayday, mayday, baby Mayday, mayday Adrift alone on wayward seas Try to follow in your wake I know I should get back on course But it’s too dark to navigate I never saw it coming Oh, I didn’t read the signs You’re a cut and run, I’m on my own No, you’ll never toe the line No land in sight; won’t help me if I swim (An SOS I’m going down) No way to fight against these wicked winds (Still I’m screaming in the microphone) Mayday, mayday: this ship is gonna sink Baby, baby: now, why you gotta be So crazy, crazy: won’t someone answer me? Mayday, mayday, baby Mayday, mayday I raise my hands to part the sea But not even Moses could save me As I capsize you stand by And salute me in my futile fight Here comes a tidal wave to drown me in my sin (No signal on the radio) I’m overboard, my future’s looking grim And I’m yelling in the microphone Mayday, mayday: this ship is gonna sink Baby, baby: now, why you gotta be So crazy, crazy: won’t someone answer me? Mayday, mayday, baby Mayday, mayday Mayday, mayday, baby Mayday, mayday Mayday, mayday Credits: Music & Lyrics - Amanda Somerville Produced by Sascha Paeth Vocals - Amanda Somerville Bass - Olaf Reitmeier Keys - Miro Guitars & Programming - Sascha Paeth
