Brownian Method

If it’s rap you want to hear, you can get that anywhere, easy. If it’s rap in Cebuano, with a Cebuano attitude and style, coupled with clever and funny lyrics, and a hip and catchy beat, then it’s definitely Brownian Method you want. The group has gained a reputation for writing and singing rap songs that have lyrics and beat that are not only groovy but fun to listen to. In the Visayas and Mindanao, their songs have gained popular recognition beginning with “Pasikat” which claimed the airwaves when it first aired two years ago. A second track, “Pinasagdan sa Kusina” has topped local charts in May-June of this year. Another song that is fast gaining popularity is the popular and witty, “T-Back.” Brownian Method’s rap version of “Miss na Miss Kita” is currently being aired nationwide, in tandem with the distribution of their debut album. Brownian Method is composed of MC Rey and Naw-T. MC Rey, also known as Rey Nacilla, 25, has been singing rap songs since high school. His involvement in school groups helped enhance his songwriting and singing skills. He composed most of the songs that appear in their debut album. Naw-T, a.k.a. Edrosel Encontro, 23, is a punk and hip-hop purist. He wrote and co-produced his solo album, “ANK (Anak ng Katipunan)” before joining forces with MC Rey to form Brownian Method.
