Story behind the song
In the affairs of men, was my thought on this song as Ron Pierce, The Kern River Boys bass guitarist, was playing his guitar at his house one night. The words seemed to flow and I Bow Down was written.

We drill for the oil. We dig for the gold. We want to be wealthy. With riches untold. The diamond! The pearl! We want to own the world. The earth is our treasure. We give it all we can. So we can take from it. Hold it in our hands And bow down We worry everyday. What will tomorrow bring? Do we have enough money? We're stressed by everything. The dollar! Credit card! If we fall, we fall hard! How much is enough? We need a little more. No time to slow down! Someone else will take for sure and bow down! Chorus... I have given all I have to posses what all I've got.
