Story behind the song
Divine inspiration on this song. I wrote it, but, I feel I am unable to sing it properly, in my view. It still doesn't negate the way I feel.
Lyrics
I was afraid and filled with doubt! Too often let down and too often left out. I didn't know what this might bring! What would my friends say about this thing? I heard the message. A voice from within. I followed the voice. I knew it was Him! He took my sins and threw them away! And I have been His from that very day! He cleaned me up and He became my friend! I'm on my way to heaven.... because of Him! Through tear stained eyes I knelt in prayer! I asked this man, " Why do you care? " I felt His wonderous touch and I gave my life to Him! Then my spirit rose as if on eagles wings! A great relief I felt within! I know that I am saved..... because of Him! Because of Him I will rise! And I can't wait to meet Him in the skies! The trump of God , it shall sound! And I will rise from off the ground! In His presence there is no sin! But, I will be there.... because of Him! Because of Him! Because of Him!
