"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? WE SAW HIS STAR IN THE EAST AND HAVE COME TO WORSHIP HIM!" Matthew 2:1-2. In this scripture we see that it was a star in the east that led the Magi Jesus. They sought the true King and the star in the east was there guide. The Decatur Dictator has been called and appointed to be a star in the east. By star, we are not talking a cocky, blinged out celebrity, but a light to lead those who wish to find the TRUE KING. In a city that is known for promiscuity, drugs, fights, and some people would say "being ghetto" Decatur Dictator wishes to first and foremost introduce, proclaim, and magnify the name of Jesus. Secondly, he wants to show people that it not where you come from but where you are trying to go. In the Bible one of the disciples told someone about THE MAN FROM GALILEE, and there response was, "Can anything good come out of Galilee?" Some may wonder this about the Decatur and the East Atlanta (Zone 6) community. But God has sent "A star in the East" to shed light and to lead the community and the world to the King of Kings through heavy bass, hi hats, snaps, and the uncompromising word of God.
