Currently with the independent label BlueSun Records, Bobby Ray has sung with such individuals as Rick MCcray(accoustical guitarist for George Strait, Red Volkert (a guitarist for Merle Haggard), John Inmon (a guitarist for Jerry Jeff Walker), Fred Krc (a drummer for asleep at the wheel) and Shawn Curtis who played briefly with the motown group The Stylistics. Booby Ray once opened for the Texas legend Reuben Ramos and performed for 10,000 people at the Home Improvement Show in Austin Texas. While touring with the band BlueSunRising Bobby Ray sang at Antones, one of Stevie Ray Vaughns old haunts in Austin Texas. One of his hopes is to sing with Willie Nelson some day and incredibly he sang at a private party 3 to 4 blocks from Willie Nelson's home near Spicewood Tx. "Really Wanna Meet Willie."

Story behind the song
I wanted to convey that being a soldier is tough especially after war. Sometimes fighting is necessary to survive and be free!
