The administrator has resigned - stepped down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tuesday, 10 July, 2007 CHAIM BEN PESACH OF WWW.JTF.ORG RESPONDS TO GABY LOCK’S CRITICISMS OF HIM A while back, many will recall Gaby Lock responded to several points that Chaim Ben Pesach of the Kahanist movement the Jewish Task force (www.jtf.org) raised on one of his online radio shows about Zionism, Egypt, the Holocaust, religion and Zionism. Gaby disagreed and his mentioned the areas in which he differed. He was once the National Chairman of the Jewish Defence League. Along came a poster to Chaim ben Pesach’s forum (jtf.org/e) that heard Gaby’s points and decided to challenge Mr. Ben Pesach and put these points to him. The poster whose computer screen name is “Yesha” asked Chaim on his weekly ‘ASK JTF’ online show (where posters pose questions and submit comments for Chaim to address) sent Chaim some questions which he took over several broadcasts (3 weeks). Chaim responded to Gaby and we are posting the responses on the “music section” above in three segments. =================================================================================================== Sunday, 1 July, 2007 STATION SHUT OVER SUMMER Some may be delighted, others disappointed and upset that The Gaby Lock Show is off the air, and has closed down at least for the next few months July-October 2007. The good news for fans is that, as the station is relocating to a new site in Stratford, from its former lower Clapton site, there is a chance that the show will be back on the air - in a few months’ time. Stay ‘tuned’ to this site and the station’s site www.soundradio.org.uk for updates. A RECAP: the station has closed down for now and there will be no shows at least for the short-term foreseeable future. Whether we manage to go back on air is questionable and out of our bounds. If you want Gaby to present a radio show for the internet, which we will post here, please let us know by e-mail: gabylock@easy.com. ================================================================== 12 06 ‘07 SHOWS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE SOONER We are pleased to announce that due to changes we will now be able to post the show in two 30-minute parts, by latest Tuesday 3 p.m. two days following the live broadcast on Sunday morning. Where there is a bank holiday or lehavdil, where there is a bank holiday or lehavdil, Yom Tov, this won’t be the case, but it will take a little longer, perhaps we will have it on here by late Thursday. ================================================================== 06 06 '07: IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT: NO MORE SKIPPING We have found a solution to the skipping problems on the shows. The station’s software system is slow to use and when we copy the show to disc it comes out all fast, unclear and really sounds bad. We have come up with an idea not using their equipment. We bought our own equipment and this will ensure 0% skipping on any of the shows and it will sound fine just like several months ago when we did not have this problem. All shows from June 2007 will be crystal clear, no skipping at all and no fast pace. If we have requests for certain shows to be put up here using the new system we will do so. We have found an alternative to the station’s software and will now use our own. --------------------------------------------------------- 07 06 ‘06 OUR PROBLEM NOW: BACKGROUND NOISE Now that there is no skipping, another problem has arisen: that of background noise. We will try and reduce this noise; the software we have now doesn’t really allow us to cut the noise if we do it sounds terrible. Just like the previous problems were solved, please G-d this one will to. So please have patience, stay tuned and watch this space. ================================= DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, we have resumed uploading the shows here for download and online streaming even though they some skipping problems, due to the station’s fault ysoftware for recording our shows. ------------------------------------------------------------ WHY IS THERE SKIPPING ON SOME OF THE ARCHIVED SHOWS? It has been brought to our attention that there is a lot of skipping on the streaming or mp3 download version of the show this is not our fault, but THE STATION’S WHO’S SYSTEM OF RECORDING THE SHOWS ON HAS A FAULT AND ERROR! THEIR SOFTWARE IS BROKEN. They do know about this problem and are seeking to repair it how long it will take is something we do not know. WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED AND INFORMED of this unfortunate and problematic situation. (www.soundradio.info) Another technical problem, yes another one, we face I with the live online streaming on Sound Radio’s website. Many listeners are complaining to us of the link which is either down, doesn’t buffer or is broken and not streaming.
