Story behind the song
I vividly remember writing this song in Feb 2007. My father was very ill from cancer and while sitting with him in his room, I turned on one of his keyboards and began to play. Within just a few hours I had finished writing this song and melody that I ended up naming J.B.M. (my fathers initials). I played him the finished version and I was thrilled by how much he liked the song and that he wanted my aunt and sisters to hear it. This song was for him and it best reflected how I was feeling during this difficult time. J.B.M. ended up being the very last song I wrote that my father would hear. God called him home just a few days later. I miss him dearly and I look forward to the day that Im playing music with him again! Love you dad!
