Turmoil is a project I started in 1997. The project is based on sound manipulation of field recordings, found sounds and chopped up instrument recordings that are twisted and processed with many effects. It is the manipulation of sound through the use of cruel and unusual punishment. It is intended to be "pure sound as art". Music can be different things to different people but it all starts with PURE SOUND. To date Turmoil is Tom Maggio And Holly Maggio.
