The MPG Project is a jazz fusion trio based in Southern California.The band, which has now been playing together for about a year,started out as a jam band with a sax player and other musicians playing gigs around the LA area.For the past 6 months, the band has adapted a successful trio format. The trio is currently working in the studio for their first CD. Gerry Aguas,is the composer of all of MPG's songs.He was part of the LA based Marshall Bishop Band.He played all over the Philippines with different bands. Since relocating to the California eight years ago, Gerry has also well established his career as a dentist. MPG's bassist, Miko Espanol, played all over the Philippines with local bands like Parliament Syndicate and Soul Food as well as other Filipino artists such as Jeffrey Hidalgo, Kyla, and Nino Alejandro.Miko has now been a resident in the US for a year and is currently based in Orange County working as a Technical Account Manager. Paul Aguas, the drummer, has played the drums for several bands and muscians in Southern California. A father of one, Vinnie (who is also an aspiring drummer at a very early age), Paul is becoming a huge infuence in playing the drums to his son and is also well established in his career as a Network Administrator.
