His early influences were greats such as Run DMC, the Beastie Boys, Biz Marquie, Tone LoC and Seattle Rapper Sir Mixalot.
Bubba Chubbs has been in the rap game for years. In Jr. High he had his first gig at a D.A.R.E. anti-drug rally. Rapping on stage with several other youths from his Roseville CA Jr. High. He was down with break beats and boom boxes back in the day.
Bubba's CD debut happened many years later when he, Bugzy Bugz and Antman started a group called the BedRoc Emsieze. Shortly after that an ad was placed in the Sacramento News and Review for another member. McToothPick was added to the frey. Many many songs were cut and performances took place in Northern California and Reno.
For whatever reason BRE was eventually dismantled, although the members all kept in touch. At this time Bubba Chubbs and McToothPick were roommates. They started a band called PenaltyBox. Again, many songs were created and there was one hell of a live performance at a Sacramento area bar called Capitol Gerage on the corners of Capitol and 16th.
PenaltyBox proved it's self here at SoundClick.Com with 2 #1 hits. Get Down with the Box and Violator. As much fun as it was, all good things must end.
