Story behind the song
The song lay dormant for about 35 years. Last performed in 1972, which is how I got the gig with NIrvana. Long story there! But annonced as multi talented at this talent show, that I also played Bass ... I was approached after the show by Nirvana, needing a bass player and vocalist. I recorded it just this past, Dec. And to honor a friend, titled it after or for this very good and caring friend, Merrill Hagens. Who's aided our Good Samaritan Group, very unselfishly the past two years. And I just happended to find out, she likes Classical music. So I had one, to honor her with, just lying there, doing nothing? So I titled it after her. Hense the classical name of Merr Hagen. And my way on honoring her for all she's done to help others, thru the GSG, and me.
