Story behind the song

This is a tune I created last night under the influence of sleep deprivation and late night dilution. Possessed by my imagination I present to you – “Orbital Express”. It is a jazzy fusion of electronica and ambient. I wanted to do something more my original style and perhaps a little more what you’ve come to expect from me. Originally I was going to call this “Deep Space Satellite Repair”, but “Orbital Express” just sounds better. “PH1” in my imagination stood for Phil and Henry’s deep space satellite repair service. Let me know what you think...

 CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters)  - A prototype satellite repair robot that can refuel, upgrade and repair satellites was launched from Florida on Thursday night to begin a three-month orbital field test.

The two-satellite system, called Orbital Express, was developed by the U.S. military in cooperation with NASA to extend the lives of spy satellites and lay the groundwork for the servicing and repair of government-owned spacecraft and telescopes after the space shuttle fleet is retired.
