Story behind the song
A classic jazz standard as performed by South Florida's great trumpet player Tom Swayzee with Les Blachut on vibraphone Fern Ellis on flute Bill Cary on saxophones and the rhythm section Juan Natividad on bass Eloy Oliveras on drums and Vero on piano.
Lyrics
The falling leaves drift by the window The autumn leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sun-burned hands I used to hold Since you went away the days grow long And soon Ill hear old winters song But I miss you most of all my darling When autumn leaves start to fall
