Story behind the song
A documentary/public service announcement made in the 1950's portrays the fears and concerns of a possible H-Bomb attack: . . . In this age of missiles and man-made moons . . . The people of the city of Portland, Oregon, and what happened to them, or could happen to them, on a day that we'll call 'X'. ~ Glenn Ford This was our final project at Western Oregon University's Film Scoring class. The movie is called "The Day Called 'X' A (Part I)" which was found at the Prelinger Archives (http://www.archive.org). I edited the movie to shorten the time and to get rid of the scenes with music so I could add my own. Performers: A. Scott Kingston - conductor, prerecorded violins and electronics Erica Hall - flute Ben Kennard - alto saxophone Jude King (Jai) - clarinet
