Biography Born off the coast of Canada on the rugged island of Newfoundland, Cynthia Quehe (pronounced Kway) is the youngest of ten musically inclined brothers and sisters. As part of such a large musical family, it was only natural that Cynthia began performing at the early age of four. Growing up, Cynthia was a member of various choirs, and was frequently called upon to be the soloist. She sang with her father, sisters and brothers at places of worship, hospitals, and senior citizen’s homes. Her father encouraged her to play guitar to help with her writing, and at the age of thirteen she performed her first original song. When she turned fifteen Cynthia began singing at the social functions such as charities, private parties and night clubs. At twenty- four she left Newfoundland to pursue her singing and songwriting career.
