I wrote this song for the first anniversary of the death of my brother Giovanni (25th February 2006). I thought he deserves to be remembered for what he was: the funniest man I ever met.

WELCOME IN THE BLUESBOX ------------------------------------ Thank you all for the support and the interest shown in our music since we started out in December 2006. BLUESBOX is a group of friends playing together, recording and uploading their stuff in the internet. It's not a traditional band ..... maybe it's more like an independent recording label. Everything is done without profit being involved, though. It costs us no big money to do it. I tell you: we would buy our instruments and use our time to play them anyway, wouldn't we ? There you go, as silly as it can be ..... we just do it for the sake of music. Unluckily we can be very lazy: most of the things are totally improvised ..... and recorded in a very basic way ..... but does it really matter ? Nobody's perfect ... right ? Thanks for your visit ..... we appreciate it. And remember .... you can listen, download, broadcast everything for free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's who is who ..... _________________ - T-BONE MUSTANG a.k.a. Story behind the song
Giovanni was born August 27th 1968. I was the first of three boys, coming to life January 31st 1967. Then Marcello arrived among us March 8th 1975. Marcello is the bass player you hear in bluesbox tunes, this one included. The three of us were very close friends in the first place. Then we were also brothers. I will pass the rest of my life remembering the fun we had all together, since Giovanni was irresistible, naughty and generous. Unluckily last year a hart attack took him away from us. The stroke came while he was asleep, so we like to think he didn't suffer and maybe he didn't even realize that it was his last minute in this world, at 37. For Marcello and I Giovanni will live forever in our harts and this song is about the importance of the past, helping us people out when it is time to face the future, when we need to survive to the most tremendous days waiting ahead of us.
Lyrics
Music: Andrea Cremona Lyrics: Andrea Cremona Arrangement: Marcello Cremona Sandro Sam Mondini: voice Marco Ray Mazzoli: organ Alessandro Romanello: guitars Marcello Cremona: bass Andrea Cremona: drums ----------------------------------------- At first I was crying all the tears I've been crying but now I'm smiling I'm smiling at you I remember those days with not much to say we still had our fun by being on the run going back to the past it's what I did last then laughter came fast by thinking of you last year I couldn't keep myself from crying but now the past has healed me and I smile tied up in this world Gio I wish you were told haven't found my way, yet to come up to your grave some think It's not brave but I won't be ashamed 'causa every given day I'm calling your name you the funniest man I prefear it like that so I stick to the past and I'll let you rest Last year I couldn't keep myself from crying but now the past has healed me and I smile last year I couldn't even think of smiling but now the past has healed me … … sometimes at first I was crying but now I'm smiling now I am smiling (Andrea Cremona)
