My Phantom Digital Orchestra lives in my computer and I am (on a good day) composer-in-residence, just a servant of the Muse...
I write symphonic, small ensemble and choral music, in multiple styles from medieval through modern classical. The music you hear on my pages is created with Finale notation software and Garritan Personal Orchestra sound samples. All pieces have a traditional score associated with them; if you are interested in any piece for possible performance, please contact me for details on scoring, instrumentation, pricing, etc. Recent Concert: I enjoy many kinds of music for listening - rock, pop, jazz, world, and classical of all periods. I am interested also in the fusion of art, poetry, dance, video, and ritual with music, music as a healing force and have been a music volunteer in the hospice setting.

Story behind the song
I envision a young child bursting into a garden -- metaphorically, the Garden of Eden. Remember the curiosity and energy of childhood and how bright everything seemed?** Yes there are darker moments, too: Remember discovering your first dead bird? Or that life ends or is not always all flowers and sunshine? Yet a child looks at all this with curiosity -- without the ideas we as adults overlay upon our worldview -- and then forgets and goes on. That is innocence. ** This is assuming a relatively good childhood. I am very aware that many, many children in the world -- perhaps a majority in fact, do not experience this idyllic exiistence that all children deserve. They are unwanted, hungry, abused, neglected, dismissed, or in wnat of shelter, medical care, a healthy environment, education or cultural stimulation. I urge everyone to look at the children around you -- yours, their friends, your neighbors, and children in other parts of the world, too, and treat them as precious gems -- they are our future.
