A one man side show of moody acoustic rock. Dan Hoffman plays live drums on the most recent release "Before we pass.." 2011.
Fur Parlor is an acoustic based project thats warm on the outside yet frigid from within. Mumbling thoughts escaping through melody and moodswings, violence and grace, salty and sweet...pleasure and pain. Wrap up for a journey into the morgue of my mind.

Lyrics
FOR THE DURATION All is calm in the kitchen of this house…warm beds house the five that feed Dinner tables turned to TV trays apart…aggravated burning stomaches bleed… The lack of conversation… stemmed from computer chairs And I can wash the dishes all by myself… Morning circles based on schedules formed by time…passer-bys on a dead man’s ship Passion lost in the words on a Post-It note…honey-do from prescription’s lips… The teary eyes and whispers…pushed from the sibling’s room And you can call the clinic all by yourself… Who left who by themselves…congratulations… Im not complicated…daddy come home A little broke and frustrated…and scared of the phone We need more work than you gave it…its harder alone…daddy come home… Missing kisses that secured the fearless lies…holding hands at the grocery store Changing diapers in the trunks of parking lots…renting movies that you hated me for… The closets black from concert...shirts that you now will burn And you can fill the tank now on your own… You sign them right away…no alterations… We’re not separated…theres no going home A little broke and frustrated…and still all alone We never gave what we made it…the children have grown…but daddy wont phone There’s no inspiration…a muse made of stone So much for expectations…procedures not known One further complication…the X-Rays have shown…he wont die alone… Dinner table feeds the five that feed for now…hugs and kisses on their way to bed Two lovers making plans to find this cure…papers signed but the words unsaid Changes in photography and address for the kids Tragedies were made for times like this… Care Bears can dry their tears…for the duration… We’re not compensated…for debts we don’t owe A little lost and frustrated…its starting to show I know we fail when we’re graded…but lets make it slow…do we have to go? There’s no exoneration…the struggle to be Complete exaggeration…perfection believed The children prepped and persuaded…they now let us know…its OK to go… Headstones carved with chiseled fingers bought…three babies now adults engraved Loving memory with the tulips placed on site…tragedies healed a marriage saved…
