21st Century Worship - Worship and Praise from Today's heart to eternity's God
21st Century Worship is the name I use for pretty much all my worship music endeavors. The band is not so much a band yet - it's me. And I have some people who play with me, for the most part my worship team at the church where I lead worship. 21st Century Worship is about taking the timeless truth of the glory of God and worship of Him and bringing it into a place that fits today's world - while not giving up anything of the music's timelessness and truth.
Story behind the song
I wrote the lyrics for this song two days after my wife flew out to be with her Mom as she lay in her death bed, and one day after my pastor's mother in law also passed away. A couple weeks later a man who used to be the worship leader at my church passed away. I realized it was time to get the music down. It took me about another month to get a recording.
