Arise, shine; for your light has come,
the glory of the Lord has risen on you,
Behold the darkness shall cover the earth,
and his glory shall be seen upon you.
Verse 1
The abundance of the sea
shall be converted to you,
The forces of the Gentiles
shall come to you.
In my wrath I smote you,
but in my favor I had mercy on you.
I will make the place of my feet glorious.

I will make you an eternal excellency,
a joy of many generations,
