Hey! Thanks for checking out my music. I am a Christian songwriter/worship leader. I really have a passion for songwriting. It's the only thing that I can work at for hours and hours without getting bored! I write mostly Christian songs but I have written half a dozen secular songs. Glad you are here! "The Band" right now is myself, my husband who is an AMAZING musician (guitar, drums, percussion, bass....(ok, let's face it; there's not much he can't play!) and my great friend Karen who sings harmony with us. We have a great time just getting together and worshipping. God, brought us all together from opposite ends of the country. My husband and I (also known as "The Yankees") and our buddy the "Southern Belle" (well, OK, she probably wouldn't like that description) love singing together. We not only make worship deep and meaningful but it's also alot of FUN!!

Story behind the song
The inspiraiton for "Hero" came out of the life experiences of my sister Chris and her family. It was written in the person of my sister singing it about her feelings for her real-life "hero"--her husband Bob of 40 years. They have been through EVERYTHING a couple can go through. They were blessed with wonderful parents and family. They have had a lot of great fun and joy. But they have also had more than their share of bad times too; one sickness from family members after another, one very serious illness that could have been fatal and most of all, the unspeakable pain in the tragedy of losing their beloved son, Jason. But through it all, they have held on to the only thing that ever truly matters in this life....LOVE. Even when everything appeared to be caving in on them, they never gave up on each other. I know that Bob is my sister's HERO. After hearing this song, people tell me that most every person will be able to relate to this song as it easily desribes the journeys that many people take through life. I want to dedicate this song to my hero, my dad who was ALWAYS there for me and never let me down. He never did, not even once; at a time in my life when it felt like nearly everyone else did. I love you Dad. And I really miss you.....
