Lyrics
Song: I Pray Artist: Man-iLLa f/ Cosmine Johnson Album: Words to Live By Date: January 2005 [Intro: Cosmine Johnson] + (Man-iLLa) Cuz I don’t want to die Cuz I don’t want to die (Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah) Cuz I don’t want to die (C’mon, c’mon, c’mon) [Verse One: Man-iLLa] Who the hell am I asking for? Is it God up above, but he locked the door Can’t wait til I get inside, can’t wait til I feel alive You got some room for a young fool, from the old school And I told you Last night when I shot the man, damn I am yo I broke the plan Still I pray yo I mean it well Where there’s time to kill, yo there’s time to heal If ya get knocked down gotta raise it up Gotta look from the ground and change your luck Gramps was a champ and he made me see That my family, was my salary These are words that I hold in me Got God and my fam they holding me [Chorus: Man-iLLa] + (Cosmine Johnson) And I pray, that I find the way Got my eyes to the sky can you hear me say (Cuz I don’t want to die) Grace every day for this track I made, Love above every time it plays And I pray, that I find the way (Cuz I don’t want to die) Got my eyes to the sky can you hear me say Grace every day for this track I made (Cuz I don’t want to die) Love above every time it plays [Verse Two: Man-iLLa] Here’s to the people that I love so much Gotta to cry when they die cuz I miss their touch Here’s to the homies that are locked in jail Got tears from their mamas cuz they can’t post bail Here’s to the people on the streets with no job No love, no faith in no God Gotta kill, gotta steal, and go rob Gotta slang dope yo I’m broke it’s no prob Here’s to the people that are dying of cancer They’re doing what they can but they have no answer Here’s to the kids that got no dad And protect those tots when pops get mad Here’s to my people that went through hell When times were rough and you gone and fell Just raise your head and bless this meal Put your hands together, yo it’s time to kneel [Chorus: Man-iLLa] + (Cosmine Johnson) And I pray, that I find the way Got my eyes to the sky can you hear me say (Cuz I don’t want to die) Grace every day for this track I made, Love above every time it plays And I pray, that I find the way (Cuz I don’t want to die) Got my eyes to the sky can you hear me say Grace every day for this track I made (Cuz I don’t want to die) Love above every time it plays [Verse Three: Cosmine Johnson] + (Man-iLLa) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) I don’t want to go Up beneath the sky Heaven won’t you fight for us Cuz I don’t want to die I don’t want to go Up beneath the sky Heaven won’t you fight for us Cuz I don’t want to die Cuz I don’t want to die Cuz I don’t want to die Cuz I don’t want to die Cuz I don’t want to die (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together) (Put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together, put your hands together)

I hear ya...but you gotta finish listening to all the lyrics. It's deep. I'm not generalizing but I'm talking about particular people that fall into this category as they progress from positive to negative...they lose their job, things aren't goin well, etc...then they lose faith in God, give up, and then go to the dark side of corruption and don't give a damn anymore. Just speaking to them on this particular lyric that I pray for them as well so that they may change their ways and keep their heads up. Check it: 'Here's to the people on the streets with no job, no love, no faith in no god, gotta kill, gotta steal, and go rob, gotta slang dope, yo I'm broke, it's no prob' Thanks for your support, for listening, and for the comments. It means the world to me and I really appreciate it! Keep on! Peace, Man-iLLa

I like this song 2 but i disagree with some of your lyrics - people on tha street with no job - must have some kind of faith in God 2 or they wouldn't still be livin! people commit suicide when they loose all of their faith! who knows maybe those peoples faith iz even stronger than most.
