Story behind the song
the whole thing is in 27 pulses per cycle, sort of. the tala actually never gets expressed directly, and is only reliably felt with the larger phrase structures of the overtone melodic elements. the rhythmic material will never fall on anything close to metric time, its phrases are in 9 pulse cycles but the relative 'tempo', or how fast each pulse is in comparison with the main tala, is constantly changing and i don't believe it ever actually lies straight on it. however, the sense of reduction is achieved by a reduction in sub-note event density, in additon to metric reduction.
Lyrics
what you're hearing in terms of instrumentation are wavelets that have been bit averaged using a mantissa mask, and then chebyshev waveshaped. additionally, the wavelets are derived from sawtooth waves that get bandpass filtered and phase modulated, and good old fashioned bandlimited impulse trains with formlets.
