Lyrics
Water and wood Water and wood do what I should to survive I sink I float I fly around to build a boat on higher ground and sail away and sail today You’re so real You’re so real I can hear you talking through me The ghosts of the past You’re so real can you feel me wanting to hold you under the purple moon Within without that’s what makes life worth talking about the world is full of the walking dead To busy with life to turn their heads and see the glory In themselves; to see the cosmos dripping from everyone else. Are you real I can feel you moving through me You’re so real Can you feel me wanting to hold you over the ghosts of the past (My grandmothers my great grandmother, I’ll gather up your bones go to the river beneath the river and I’ll reclaim my intuition at last) And the world is full of the walking dead To busy with life to turn their heads and see the diamonds In themselves; to see the cosmos dripping from everyone else. Are you real I can feel you moving through me You’re so real Can you feel me wanting to hold you over through eternity These old bones will remember, these old bones will remember you Under the water and the wood under the willow tree somehow I won’t forget you.
