Acoustic blues
Ray and Mike formed Blues Crossing in early 2004. We write, record and produce all of our original music on a BOSS BR1600 digital recorder in Rays basement... so if you hear a dog bark or a cat meow now and then just consider it a happy accident! No animals were harmed in the process!

Story behind the song
I wrote the chords after Tim had written the lyrics, which were supposed to be to another song. I re-arranged the lyrics a little to fit the new rythym and this is what we came up with. Enjoy! Mike.
Lyrics
I've been walkin' on the lonely side of town
where, no one raises their head, they keep,
their eyes cast to the concrete ground
they don't care if I'm alive or dead...
The dirty rain it begins to fall, all the memories won't leave me alone,
the silence bites and the cold air knaws at my bones
and when the hard times come, and they leave no
doubt,
who your friends really are when your down and out,
and when you've taken the fall, and you just want to
shout,
from the top of your lungs you're down and out
I have not seen the sun for so long, and sleep,
brings no comfort at all, the best,
part of me which is already gone is
fighting this war in my head
I've been talking to myself these days
and I know that I'm heading for doom,
this pain is a witch who comes as midnite leaves me alone, in my room
and when the hard times come, and they leave no
doubt
who your friends really are when you're down and out
when you've taken the fall, and you just want to
shout
from the top of your lungs, I'm down and out
